Our History

Our journey in chemical manufacturing has been marked by continuous growth, innovation, and commitment to excellence.

1984

Xingfa County Chemicals Plant was established, the starting-point for Xingfa Group.

1985

Introduced the 1st set of production equipment & facilities, with a per year production capacity of 1,500 tons of Yellow Phosphorus.

1988

Production of Sodium Tripolyphosphate begins; XINGFA is regarded as one of the earliest Sodium Tripolyphosphate manufacturers.

1990

Production of Sodium Hexametaphosphate begins.

1993

Production of Phosphoric Acid (Food Grade) begins, with an 8,000 ton per year capacity and is the 1st professional production line of its kind.

1994

Xingfa County Chemicals Plant initiates an alliance with Xingshan Hydropower Professional Co. Hubei Shuanghuan Chemical Group Co. decides to launch a new company called Xingfa Group (abbr.) by directional collection of funds.

1995

Due to the Three Gorges Dam Construction, Xingfa Group qualifies for provisions and programs for Immigration & Relocation. Preparations are made to update the Baishahe Chemicals Plant with technologic innovation to increase production capacity.

1999

One is that together with Xingshan Tianxing Hydro Group, to conduct combination & integration.XINGFA is newly listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) as “Xingfa Group” under Stock Code: 600141. Integrates with Xingshan Tianxing Hydro Group.

2001

Yichang Xingfa Chemicals Group Co. LLC was established and became the controlling shareholder for Xingfa Group after taking free transfers of state-owned shares held by Xingshan County Chemicals Plant (the former controlling shareholder)

2002

Began to conduct “Stepping-out” Development Strategy in regional cooperation with Shennongjia Forestry District and Baokang County.

2003

Set up the Technology Center and acquired Yichan Chulin Chemicals Co.

2006

  • Hubei Xingfa Chemicals Import & Export Co,. Ltd. was established.
  • Construction began on the Yichang Fine Chemicals Industry Park in Xiaoting District, Yichang City.
  • Reformations were made to non-tradable Shares, Yichang Xingfa Chemicals Group Co,. LLC together with other 13 related companies paid for 14 million non-tradable Shares to shareholders who hold tradable Shares.

  • Invested in the Exploiting Project of the Ⅳ Block in Wawu Mine.
  • After the successful non-public offering of 50 million shares to a select 10 investors, including the controlling shareholder Yichang Xingfa Chemicals Group Co. LLC, XINGFA collected 266.5135 million RMB funds in total, with share issuing prices listed at

  • Construction for Yidu Xingfa Eco-industrial Park begins in Yidu City, Hubei Province.
  • Electronic Grade Phosphoric Acid production begins with a capacity of 1 ten thousand tons per year and Food Grade, 2 ten thousand tons per year.
  • Organosilicone Monomer production begins with a capacity of 6 ten thousand tons per year.

  • Implimentation of the Technology Reform Project for ton-class Electric Furnace for producing Yellow Phosphorus begins.
  • Yidu Xingfa Chemical Co., Ltd invests in the construction of the Phosphorus Fertilizers Project to improve capacity to 0.6 million tons per year.
  • Application & registration for the issuing of short- term financing bonds
  • Add investment in to Hubei Xingfu Electronic Parts & Materials Co., Ltd for the increase in production of Phosphoric Acid; Electronic Grade to 1 ten thousand tons per year and Food Grade to 2 ten thousand tons per year.

    • 2011

  • Enters the Governance Plate on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE).
  • Received honors of the Model of China National Energy-saving & Emission-reducing in the fields of Petroleum & Chemicals Industry during China’s “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”.
  • The platform project of Energy Management Center is established and is awarded as the Model for China National Energy-saving and Emission-reduction.
  • Xiangyang Xingfa Chemical Co., Ltd. and Xingshan Hydropower Professional Co. are established.
  • Xinjiang Xingfa Chemical Co., Ltd. and Xianggang Xingfa Co. are established.
  • XINGFA signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement with Wengfu Group. Under the agreement, the two parties would cooperate in the fields of Deep-processing & Resources Integration Utilization in the Phosphorus Chemicals Industry.

  • Issued 69,190,000 non-public shares at 19.11 RMB price per share，raised 12891841 million RMB funds for the acquisition upon the 49% stock rights of Yidu Xingfa Chemical Co,. Ltd， which formerly belong to Xingshan Hydropower Professional Co.
  • Received the Honor of China National Technologic Innovation Model.
  • Construction on the Xiangyang Xingfa Industrial Park in Wu’an Town, Xiangyang City began.
  • Initiated the acquisition of Hubei Yichang Phosphorus Chemical Group Co., Ltd.

  • XINGFA was awarded as the national “Efficiency Frontrunner of Yellow Phosphorus Enterprises in 2012”;
  • The Post-doctoral Research Center was approved by the China National Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and China National Post-doctor Regulatory Commission;
  • XINGFA’s mines were named as “National Experimental Units of Green Mines” by the Ministry of Land and Resources.
  • Yidu Xingfa Chemical Co., Ltd completed the test run of the newly invested projects on the 10,000 tons/year-Production of wet methods refined phosphoric acid, the 2 million-Beneficiation of phosphate mine, the 0.6 million tons /year- Production of ammonium phosphate.

    • 2014

  • Initial public issued 95,344,295 non-public shares to acquire 51% stake in Hubei Taisheng Chemical Co., Ltd held by Zhejiang Jinfanda Biochemical Co., Ltd.
  • Gained 100% shares acquisition of the Longma Phosphorus Industry in Weng’an County, Guizhou Province in an effort to encourage inter-regional recombination and integration within the domestic Yellow Phosphorus Industry.
  • The 1st phase of SAP program was put into operation.

    • 2015

  • Set up office in Vietnam and established subsidiary corporation in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Issued 0.7 billion RMB of short-term financing, 0.6 billion RMB of corporate bonds, purchased 1 billion of Perpetual Bond. Registered for 2 billion RMB on SCP bills,
  • Production of 100,000 ton/ year on Organosilicone, 60,000 ton/year on Glyphosat, 40,000 ton/year on Glycine and 60,000 ton/year on Potash have been put into production in Yichang Park.
  • Purchased 50% equity of Baokang Raozhi River Qiaogou Mining Ltd. added 0.2 billion ton on resource reserves.
  • Purchased 45% equity of Jiangsu Furtong Chemical Ltd. Made a substantive progress into the organic phosphorus industry

  • Awarded as the Energy conservation during “12th Five-Year Plan” period in the petroleum and petrochemical industry.
  • Jointly established Hubei Zhongke Monglin Science and Technology Ltd. together with Shenzhen Zhongke Investment Management Company and Chongqing Zhongke Business Incubator Limited.
  • Purchased 49% equity of Yichang Maple Leaves Chemical co., ltd.
  • Completed the expansion project I of Glyphosate, made it the production of 100,000 ton/year.
  • Lunched the setting of international standards on rubber fumed silica.

  • Successfully issued RMB 500 million in short-term financing bonds, RMB 1 billion in ultra-short-term financing bonds, and RMB 1 billion in perpetual medium-term notes.
  • Recognized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation as the "Number One Enterprise in Yellow Phosphorus Energy Efficiency," achieving a four-year consecutive title.

  • Xingfu Company successfully developed a one-step absorption process for preparing electronic-grade sulfuric acid, breaking the international monopoly and filling a domestic gap.
  • The Wawu Phosphate Mine's Section IV has obtained a safety production license and officially commenced production, with a designed production capacity of 1.2 million tons per year.

  • Li Guozhang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Xingfa Group, was re-elected as a delegate to the National People's Congress.
  • Xingfa Group acquired equity in Inner Mongolia Tenglong Company.
  • Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, inspected the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, with his first stop being the Yichang New Materials Industrial Park of Xingfa Group. He encouraged Xingfa Group, saying, "May you continue to thrive on the path of scientific and sustainable development!"
  • Xingfu Company achieved a major breakthrough in electronic-grade phosphoric acid technology, reducing Fe, Cr, and Ni ions to less than 5 ppb and Sb to 2 ppb, reaching international leading levels.
  • The first thermal power plant of Xingrui Company in the Yichang New Materials Industrial Park was completely demolished, marking the first major demolition for protecting the green environment of the Yangtze River in Yichang.
  • Xingfa Group obtained the registration certificate for glyphosate technical grade pesticide in Brazil, the world's largest pesticide market, after six years of research.
  • Xingfa Group received the 5th China Industrial Awards Commendation Award, the only award-winning enterprise in Hubei Province.
  • Taisheng Company absorbed and merged with Jinxin Company.

  • Xingfa Houping Phosphate Mine obtained a mining license, with a designed production capacity of 2 million tons per year.
  • The Yichang New Materials Industrial Park's 30,000-ton/year electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid project commenced construction.
  • Xingfu Company's electronic-grade phosphoric acid successfully passed the verification test of SMIC's 12-inch 28nm advanced process technology. The electronic-grade formulation product PE-1 etching solution was officially delivered to Huahong Semiconductor (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., achieving domestic production for the first time in the industry.
  • Xingfa Group completed the registration of its 2019 restricted stock incentive plan, becoming the first state-owned holding listed company in Yichang City and the third in Hubei Province to implement equity incentives.

    • 2020

  • Xingfa Group's project, "Key Technologies for the Production of Ultra-High Purity Electronic-Grade Phosphoric Acid and Highly Selective Etching Solution for Chips," won the second prize of the 2019 National Science and Technology Progress Award. Li Shaoping, the project's first author, attended the award ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and was warmly received by Xi Jinping and other Party and state leaders.
  • Xingfa Group, for the first time, led a joint application with nine other institutions, including the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, for the National Key Research and Development Program project, "Source Reduction and Resource Recycling Technology of Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Chlorine Solid Waste in Fine Chemical Industrial Parks," which was approved.
  • Xingfa Group was selected as one of the top 100 pesticide companies in China in 2020, ranking 10th.
  • The 25,000-ton/year 107 silicone rubber new plant and the 100,000-ton/year special silicone rubber and silicone oil expansion project at the Yichang New Materials Industrial Park went into operation.
  • Six power stations belonging to Xingfa Group—Jiangjunzhu, Chaotianhou, Yangdaohe, Shijiaba, Jiuchonghe, and Cangpinghe—were awarded the title of "2020 Green Small Hydropower Demonstration Power Station" by the Ministry of Water Resources.

    • 2021

  • Xingfu Company's Phase II electronic-grade sulfuric acid project was completed and put into operation.
  • The Hubei Electronic Chemicals Zone was unveiled in Yichang New Materials Industrial Park, becoming the second such zone nationwide and the first in Central China.
  • Xingxing Lantian's 400,000-ton synthetic ammonia plant achieved full process flow optimization, realizing the goal of "safe and environmentally friendly equipment, and successful start-up of chemical feed on the first attempt."
  • The company has been ranked first among energy efficiency "leader" benchmark enterprises (yellow phosphorus) for 10 consecutive years.
  • Xingfa Group's 300,000-ton-per-year battery key materials project commenced construction in Yidu Ecological Industrial Park. The project has a total investment of 10 billion yuan, covers an area of ​​2,500 mu, and will be constructed in three phases.

  • Xingfa Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for its silicon-based new materials project at the Yichang Fine Chemical Industrial Park.
  • Li Guozhang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Xingfa Group, was elected as a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
  • Li Zhanshu, then a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, led an inspection team of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress to Hubei Province to inspect the implementation of the Yangtze River Protection Law. The first stop was the Yichang New Materials Industrial Park to learn about shoreline protection.
  • Xinjiang Xingfa's 50,000-ton/year dimethyl sulfoxide project (Phase II) officially commenced production.
  • Hubei Xingfu Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. held its inaugural meeting and first shareholders' meeting.
  • The groundbreaking ceremony for Yichang City's major projects in the fourth quarter of 2022, including the organosilicon industry chain projects, was held at the Yichang New Materials Industrial Park.   • Xingfa Group's first iron phosphate and lithium iron phosphate products rolled off the production line.
  • The inauguration ceremony of Xingfa Building and the opening ceremony of Yichang Bund Mercure Hotel were held in Wujiagang District, Yichang City.
  • Xingfa Group acquired a 70% stake in AMCO (Amok) Sdn Bhd in Indonesia, becoming its first overseas acquisition of a manufacturing company.
  • The Inner Mongolia Xingfa Organosilicon Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factory was awarded the title of "2023 Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factory" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. On the same day, Xingfa Vocational Training Co., Ltd. obtained business registration.

  • Hubei Taisheng Chemical Co., Ltd.'s independently developed international standard for glyphosate technical grade, FAO Specification 284/TC, successfully passed the international standard review and was officially released by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), making it the first company in China to pass this certification.
  • The Xingfa Baogu Phosphate Chemical Industrial Park project commenced construction.
